Position Overview

REW is seeking an experienced EDE Monitoring Engineer (MOM/SCOM) to provide proactive engineering support, monitoring solutions optimization, and incident prevention for enterprise customers leveraging Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) and System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).

As part of REW’s Enhanced Designated Engineering (EDE) offering, you will work closely with enterprise customers to enhance observability, automate monitoring workflows, and ensure high availability of IT infrastructure. Responsibilities

Proactive Monitoring & Infrastructure Optimization

Guide customers in architecting, deploying, and maintaining MOM/SCOM solutions for server, network, application, and cloud monitoring.

Optimize management packs (MPs), performance counters, and alert tuning to reduce noise and improve operational efficiency.

Implement automated remediation workflows to resolve incidents before they impact business operations.

Develop custom monitoring solutions, dashboards, and reports tailored to customer needs.

Incident Prevention & Performance Optimization

Conduct proactive health checks, log analysis, and predictive analytics to prevent infrastructure failures.

Improve alert correlation and event deduplication strategies to enhance incident response times.

Optimize SCOM agent performance, resource utilization, and tuning best practices for enterprise environments.

Assist customers in migrating from MOM to SCOM or transitioning to Azure-based monitoring solutions.

Customer Engagement & Technical Leadership

Act as a designated monitoring expert, providing best practices for IT operations, observability, and telemetry.

Lead technical workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing discussions with customers.

Collaborate with IT administrators, cloud architects, and operations teams to align monitoring solutions with business objectives.

Provide recommendations for monitoring automation, log retention policies, and incident management improvements.

Collaboration with Microsoft & Continuous Improvement

Work closely with Microsoft’s MOM/SCOM engineering teams to provide customer-driven feedback for product enhancements.

Participate in early-access preview programs and testing of new monitoring features.

Contribute to best practice documentation, knowledge-sharing forums, and monitoring strategy improvements within REW.
