Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer – SCCM & On-Prem Systems
Position Overview
The Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of on-premises Microsoft technologies, with a primary focus on System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Windows Server environments, and Active Directory. This role ensures the stability, security, and performance of enterprise IT infrastructure and supports hybrid integration with cloud services as needed.
Responsibilities

- Administer and optimize SCCM for software deployment, patch management, and operating system imaging
- Manage and maintain Windows Server infrastructure, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline operational tasks and improve system efficiency
- Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure needs and ensure compliance with IT policies
- Document system configurations, procedures, and changes in accordance with enterprise standards
- Support hybrid environments and contribute to integration efforts with Microsoft 365 and Azure services
Qualifications
- Proven experience with SCCM, including application packaging, task sequences, and reporting
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration and Active Directory infrastructure
- Proficiency in Group Policy management and enterprise patching strategies
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration
- Understanding of network services and troubleshooting methodologies
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to learn fast
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or AZ-800/801
- Experience with Intune, Autopilot, or co-management scenarios
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and enterprise change management processes
- Experience with monitoring tools such as SCOM or third-party alternatives
