The Senior GCC/GCC High Engineer – DSE is a customer-facing technical role responsible for the secure design, implementation, and lifecycle support of Microsoft cloud environments within Government Community Cloud (GCC) and GCC High. This role combines deep technical expertise in Microsoft Intune with a strong understanding of federal compliance frameworks. As a Designated Support Engineer, the individual will serve as a trusted advisor, providing proactive guidance, technical leadership, and hands-on support to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient operations in regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage secure infrastructure within GCC and GCC High environments in alignment with federal and DoD compliance requirements
- Utilize Microsoft Intune for device lifecycle management, application deployment, and policy enforcement across diverse platforms
- Lead migration and onboarding projects to GCC and GCC High, ensuring minimal disruption and full compliance
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to define and enforce data protection policies
- Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for GCC, GCC High, and Intune-related issues
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including configurations, policies, and operational procedures
- Deliver training and enablement to IT staff and end-users on secure practices and Intune capabilities
- Integrate GCC and GCC High environments with enterprise systems and applications
- Stay current with evolving technologies, compliance mandates, and Microsoft roadmap updates
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to strategic planning for secure cloud adoption
Requirements
- Extensive experience managing and securing GCC and GCC High environments
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and policy enforcement
- Strong understanding of federal and DoD compliance frameworks, including FedRAMP and NIST
- Proven experience leading migration projects to GCC and GCC High
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues in secure cloud environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes
- Experience mentoring technical teams and contributing to strategic initiatives
- Ability to learn fast
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)
- Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (Intune)
- Experience with Microsoft 365 security and compliance tools
- Background in government or defense-related projects
