Position Overview

REW is seeking an experienced EDE O365 Enterprise Apps Engineer to provide proactive engineering support, application optimization, and incident prevention for enterprise customers leveraging Microsoft 365 (O365) Enterprise Applications.

As part of REW’s Enhanced Designated Engineering (EDE) offering, you will work closely with enterprise customers to ensure optimal performance, security, and user experience across core Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online, and Power Platform. This role is not just about troubleshooting—it’s about proactively identifying risks, optimizing configurations, and driving adoption of M365 enterprise applications.

You will act as a trusted advisor, providing technical expertise on governance, security, compliance, integration, and performance tuning for Microsoft 365 services. Additionally, you will collaborate with Microsoft’s product teams to influence feature enhancements based on real-world enterprise needs.

This is a remote-friendly position with flexibility to work from home.

Responsibilities

Proactive Application Optimization & Governance

Guide customers in designing, configuring, and optimizing Microsoft 365 enterprise applications, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, Exchange Online, and Power Platform.

Ensure application security, compliance, and governance best practices, including data loss prevention (DLP), retention policies, and identity access management.

Assist in tenant-to-tenant migrations, hybrid deployments, and performance tuning of M365 applications.

Provide technical guidance on M365 integration with enterprise systems, including Azure AD, third-party apps, and on-premises infrastructure.

Incident Prevention & Performance Monitoring

Conduct proactive health checks, risk assessments, and policy reviews for M365 environments.

Optimize Teams and SharePoint performance, ensuring fast load times, efficient data sync, and minimal downtime.

Implement security hardening, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and conditional access policies for enterprise applications.

Assist with eDiscovery, compliance auditing, and regulatory reporting using Microsoft Purview and Defender for M365.

Customer Engagement & Technical Leadership

Act as a designated expert for enterprise customers, helping them adopt and scale Microsoft 365 applications efficiently.

Lead training sessions, workshops, and strategy discussions to improve collaboration and productivity using M365 apps.

Provide best practices for automation and workflow optimization using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Microsoft Graph API.

Collaborate with IT admins, security teams, and compliance officers to ensure secure and efficient M365 deployments.

Collaboration with Microsoft & Continuous Improvement

Work closely with Microsoft’s product engineering teams to provide feedback on SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform enhancements.

Participate in early-access preview programs and customer pilot initiatives to validate new M365 features.

Contribute to best practice documentation, case studies, and internal knowledge-sharing within REW’s engineering community.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration, enterprise collaboration, or IT consulting.

8+ years working with MS Technologies

English: B2+ or higher

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical end users, ensuring a smooth and efficient resolution of issues.

Hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365 enterprise applications, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, and Power Platform.

Strong knowledge of M365 security, compliance, and governance best practices (e.g., data retention, DLP, sensitivity labels, access controls).

Experience with PowerShell scripting for M365 automation and reporting.

Familiarity with Teams governance, SharePoint permissions, and OneDrive synchronization troubleshooting.

Experience with hybrid identity and authentication models, including Azure AD, MFA, and Conditional Access.

Ability to learn fast.

 

Preferred qualifications

Microsoft Certifications (e.g., MS-100: Microsoft 365 Identity and Services, MS-101: Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security, MS-700: Managing Microsoft Teams).

Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, and integration of M365 services using Microsoft Graph API.

Knowledge of third-party M365 security and compliance tools (e.g., AvePoint, Varonis, Quest).

Familiarity with enterprise collaboration analytics and user adoption strategies.

Experience with large-scale M365 migrations, tenant-to-tenant moves, or hybrid Exchange deployments.
