Senior M365 Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Microsoft 365 Infrastructure Engineer with extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 and core Microsoft Infrastructure products and services to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our organization’s infrastructure, with a strong focus on leveraging Microsoft 365 technologies to enhance productivity, collaboration, and security.

Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft 365 core products and services, including but not limited to Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Azure Active Directory, and related security features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient infrastructure solutions using Microsoft 365 services.
  • Implement best practices for configuration, customization, and integration of Microsoft 365 services to meet organizational needs while ensuring data security and compliance.
  • Optimize and maintain the performance, availability, and security of Microsoft 365 services and infrastructure through proactive monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows using PowerShell or other scripting languages to streamline administration and management tasks within the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and support staff, including knowledge sharing and mentoring.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new features within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate, select, and integrate complementary technologies or services with Microsoft 365.
  • Participate in planning and executing migration projects from on-premises systems to Microsoft 365 cloud services, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for Microsoft 365 infrastructure and services.
  • Troubleshoot AD, ADCS, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level infrastructure solutions, with a focus on Microsoft 365 and core Microsoft infrastructure products and services.
  • Deep understanding of the Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Azure Active Directory, and related security features.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration of Microsoft 365 services.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, security, and identity management principles, with the ability to apply them within the context of the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Experience with migration projects from on-premises infrastructure to Microsoft 365 cloud services, including planning, execution, and post-migration support.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues within the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Microsoft Certifications: Possession of relevant Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert,
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or similar certifications demonstrate a strong understanding and proficiency in Microsoft 365 technologies. Additional preferred certifications include:

  • Advanced PowerShell Scripting Skills:Advanced skills in PowerShell scripting beyond basic automation tasks, including experience with complex scripting scenarios, module development, and automation of intricate administrative processes within the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Experience with Advanced Microsoft 365 Features:Experience with advanced features and capabilities within Microsoft 365, such as Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), Conditional Access, and Cloud App Security, showcasing a deep understanding of security and compliance principles.
  • Large-scale Migration Experience:Demonstrated experience in planning and executing large-scale migration projects involving complex environments, including hybrid configurations, legacy system decommissioning, and data migration to Microsoft 365 cloud services.
  • Knowledge of Modern Workplace Trends:Familiarity with modern workplace trends and technologies beyond Microsoft 365, such as collaboration tools, unified communications platforms, and cloud-native solutions, enabling the identification of opportunities for integration and enhancement of the organization’s infrastructure.
  • Vendor Management Skills:Experience in managing vendor relationships and partnerships related to Microsoft 365, including vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, and ongoing collaboration to leverage additional services or support for the organization’s infrastructure.
