Position Overview
REW is seeking an experienced EDE SharePoint Developer to provide proactive engineering support, application development, and performance optimization for enterprise customers leveraging SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-Premises.
As part of REW’s Enhanced Designated Engineering (EDE) offering, you will work closely with enterprise customers to design, develop, and secure custom SharePoint solutions, improve collaboration workflows, and optimize SharePoint performance and governance. This role is not just about troubleshooting—it’s about proactively enhancing SharePoint applications, improving user experience, and ensuring scalability and compliance.
You will act as a trusted advisor, providing technical expertise on SharePoint development, Power Platform integration, governance, security, and performance tuning while also collaborating with Microsoft’s product teams to influence feature enhancements based on enterprise needs.
This is a remote-friendly position with flexibility to work from home.
SharePoint Development & Customization
Develop, customize, and maintain SharePoint Online and On-Premises solutions using SPFx (SharePoint Framework), JavaScript, React, PowerShell, and .NET.
Design and implement modern SharePoint intranet portals, custom forms, and workflows to enhance collaboration and productivity.
Build and optimize custom web parts, extensions, and integrations using REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, and Azure Functions.
Develop Power Automate flows and Power Apps to automate business processes within SharePoint.
Ensure mobile-friendly and responsive design for SharePoint applications.
Incident Prevention & Performance Optimization
Conduct proactive health checks, performance analysis, and security assessments of SharePoint environments.
Optimize SharePoint search, indexing, and content management strategies to enhance usability and performance.
Implement data governance policies, access controls, and compliance best practices to secure SharePoint content.
Automate SharePoint site provisioning, permission management, and data retention policies using PowerShell and Microsoft 365 tools.
Customer Engagement & Technical Leadership
Act as a designated SharePoint development expert, helping enterprise customers maximize their investment in SharePoint.
Lead workshops, training sessions, and hands-on labs on SharePoint customization, automation, and governance.
Work closely with business stakeholders, IT admins, and developers to align SharePoint solutions with business needs.
Provide technical guidance on SharePoint migration, hybrid deployments, and tenant-to-tenant transitions.
Collaboration with Microsoft & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with Microsoft’s SharePoint engineering teams to provide feedback on product enhancements and roadmap improvements.
Participate in early-access preview programs and feature testing for new SharePoint capabilities.
Contribute to best practice documentation, internal knowledge-sharing, and SharePoint governance strategies within REW.
3+ years of experience in SharePoint development, customization, or administration.
8+ years working with MS Technologies
English: B2+ or higher
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical end users, ensuring a smooth and efficient resolution of issues.
Hands-on expertise with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript, React, TypeScript, and .NET for SharePoint solutions.
Strong understanding of SharePoint Online, SharePoint On-Premises (2016/2019), and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.
Experience integrating SharePoint with Power Automate, Power Apps, and Microsoft Graph API.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for SharePoint automation, site provisioning, and permission management.
Preffered qualifications
Knowledge of SharePoint security, compliance, governance, and retention policies.
Ability to learn fast.
Microsoft Certifications (e.g., MS-600: Building Applications and Solutions with Microsoft 365 Core Services, PL-400: Power Platform Developer, MS-700: Managing Microsoft Teams).
Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and REST API integrations for SharePoint.
Knowledge of SharePoint migration tools (e.g., ShareGate, Metalogix, Microsoft Migration Manager).
Familiarity with third-party SharePoint security and compliance tools.
Experience with large-scale SharePoint intranet design, document management, and enterprise content management (ECM).
